Since opening members have undertaken projects for their own use (CD rack, shoe box, garden rake, a puzzle etc) as well as community projects such as garden planters, a gate for Calthorpe Community Garden and an archery target for children in the form of a 4m long castle. We have also sent surplus used tools to African Training Schools via a separate charity, repaired shoes, and undertaken community gardening – no doubt further activities will develop from the interests of members. A particularly successful activity has been running courses in Wood -Turning. These were sold out throughout 2013 and often booked months ahead. Details of the next courses are under 'Training'. The final picture on this page is what participants produce.
